Title
APPROVAL OF RANKING OF QUALIFIED & CERTIFIED DESIGN/BUILD FIRMS TO PROVIDE DESIGN/BUILD SERVICES FOR MINOR DESIGN/CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS PURSUANT TO NON-EXCLUSIVE CONTINUING CONTRACTS FOR A TWO (2) YEAR PERIOD, EXTENDABLE FOR AN ADDITIONAL 1-YEAR PERIOD
Description
The scope shall include providing professional design/build services, under the terms of individual non-exclusive two-year contracts, for selected projects. These contracts are extendable, for one additional one-year period, by mutual agreement of the parties. On 1/8/2009, the Professional Services Selection Committee (PSSC) met to select qualified and certified design/build firms for these services. The PSSC has ranked them in accordance with School Board Policy #7.71. The estimated cost for these services for the entire three-year period is $30,000,000.00. Funds for these services are available through individual project accounts.
Recommendation
That the ranking of qualified and certified design/build firms to provide Design/Build Services for Minor Design/Construction Projects pursuant to Non-exclusive Continuing Contracts, for a period of two (2) years, extendable for one (1) additional one-year period, by mutual agreement of the parties, be approved as presented and the Executive Director of Construction Services be authorized to attempt negotiations with the six (6) top-ranked firms.
